A Magical Night

Nothing describes a hot air balloon better than the word “magical,” especially when we’re in the midst of a nighttime light show.

What does the nighttime light show involve? We set up in the early evening, at sunset, and inflate the balloon, leaving it inflated and tethered to the ground so it can’t fly away. This allows us to light the balloon with our burners, illuminating it from the inside like a giant Chinese lantern while lighting up the crowd in the darkness and making our colors shine brightly as if by magic! A completely mind-blowing spectacle that is sure to amaze young and old alike. We can follow a musical rhythm by heating our burners to illuminate in time with the music and create a special choreography for each melody. These magical nights, also known as nighttime illuminations, are very popular at hot air balloon festivals in Quebec and around the world because they offer a completely different perspective on the hot air balloon. The audience can take the time to admire the scene from a completely different angle and setting while extending the show for everyone’s enjoyment.
