Relationships with Farmers

Taking hot-air balloon rides gives us a breathtaking view of our beautiful region and allows us to see just how vast our farmland is. As we fly over the Montérégie region on our hot air balloon tours, we can take the time to observe the size of the fields, the boundaries, the farming methods, and appreciate the significant role agriculture plays in the region and throughout Quebec. It’s no wonder our pilot Martin likes to say that the Montérégie is Quebec’s breadbasket and that without agriculture, there would be no food!

In addition, we are in direct contact with local farmers* because, whenever we take off or land, we are required to ask their permission before setting down on their land. So it goes without saying that their cooperation is essential to us; without it, it wouldn’t be nearly as easy to offer you such a beautiful view and help you discover our region.

Over time, we’ve gotten to know our farmers, forged a bond, built a relationship, and developed immense respect for their work and their great generosity in granting us access to share our passion with them and with all of you. We are privileged. Privileged to be able to meet them, to take the time to talk with them, to visit their farms, to admire their products and their work. All of this with a smile, incredible warmth, and welcoming enthusiasm. The most beautiful part is seeing the human side behind our food. This side that we often forget out of habit, convenience, or lack of information, but which the hot air balloon helps us discover more deeply by exploring it from a completely different angle and raising awareness of the importance of our farmers, one passenger at a time.
