Captive event

Captive events are primarily organized as corporate gifts, in partnership with advertising agencies and private companies, and are offered with the aim of targeting a regional tourism market or a specific audience. The goal is to promote an event, a business, or a special occasion; to attract attention; to create a “wow” effect; and to capitalize on the unique, completely different nature of the experience compared to what we traditionally see.

The hot air balloon is inflated just as it would be for a flight, but it remains tethered to the ground, allowing us to raise and lower it at will so that passengers can board for a few moments. It’s nothing like an actual flight, but it can give a glimpse of the view from above and the thrilling sensation of boarding a basket. It’s a perfect activity that combines visibility and spectacle—because let’s face it, it’s very hard to miss a hot air balloon, and it’s still rare to be able to board and disembark at will!

Of course, optimal weather conditions are essential for a successful event like this, so you have to be prepared for anything—even last-minute cancellations. So it’s not always easy to organize an outdoor event because, like all outdoor activities, we’re at the mercy of Mother Nature. This is even more true for hot air ballooning, as the conditions are very unpredictable. You have to have a Plan A, B, C, and sometimes even D in an organization like this, which can cause quite a few headaches. On the other hand, when everything is in place, nothing is more successful and fantastic than an outdoor event accessible to everyone and the whole family.
